Brief:

Build a mobile-first prototype to help immigrant farmworkers understand U.S. legal documents—quickly, clearly, and in their language. High-stress use case. Low tech literacy. Zero room for design fluff.

Solution:

I designed a clean, accessible interface with language toggles, big-button UX, and QR code onboarding. Every screen had one job: remove fear and add clarity. We used short-form video, direct Spanish translation, and minimal paths to guide users step-by-step through legal notices.

Impact: Jorge—fictional name, real scenario—was able to scan, tap, and understand a court letter he couldn’t read. In minutes, not hours. It didn’t change his whole world. But it gave him next steps.

And it fit in his pocket.
